Families – Traumatic Brain
Injury
Treating Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), Anoxia,
and Stroke are as unique as the injuries themselves. Because each
person has a unique brain, no two injuries are alike – and
the effects may range from physical, emotional or social changes
to experiencing all three simultaneously.
| CareMeridian
has the experience to maximize each patient’s steps to
recovery. |
Given our track record spanning three decades, CareMeridian has
the experience to maximize each patient’s steps to recovery.
Our program's experienced team of doctors, nurses and therapists
understand this, which is why our programs are highly individualized
to meet the specific needs of the patient and his or her family.
Unlike other facilities, we are able to control a patient’s
environment and amount of activity, use special equipment that meets
their needs and even schedule therapy sessions at times that are
flexible for the patient. Our industry-high 1:4 staff-to-patient
ratio — patients always have the same primary caregiver throughout
their stay -- allows us to react quickly to a patient’s evolving
condition.
For example, as we look at each stage
of recovery we try to resolve certain behaviors by changing
the patient’s environment, allowing them more movement or
giving them special beds. Our whole teams gets involved.
