Sherri L. Medina – Executive Director
Sherri Medina is Executive Director of CareMeridian, a leading provider of residential subacute care services to the catastrophically ill and injured population. Sherri was named 1994 “Entrepreneur of the Year” in Healthcare in Orange County, an award sponsored by Inc. magazine and Ernst & Young, and received a “Women in Business Award” from the Orange County Business Journal in 1996. Sherri earned her BA in 1982 and MS in 1984, both in Communicative Disorders, from the University of Redlands.

 

Jamison "Jim" Ashby – President and CEO
Jim joined the company in 2003 with more than 14 years of experience in health care in both the public and private sectors. In the early 1990's, Jim partnered with Sherri Medina and Dan Larson in growing South Coast Rehabilitation Services from a private, regional provider into a nationally recognized company of $100 million in annualized revenue. Jim joined South Coast as VP Operations and CFO; became its EVP and COO in 1993 and was promoted in 1995 to President and CEO, serving in that role until 1997 when the company's parent, Regency Health Services (NYSE:RHS) was sold to Sun Healthcare (NYSE:SHC). After the sale, Jim joined SMS, a $100 million national IT services company, as COO where he led the streamlining of the company's operations and acquisition of it's first overseas business. Jim started his career at Bank of America, working as a Commercial Lending Officer with middle-market companies. He is the current Chair-Elect of the YMCA of Orange County and Board Member of Stoneybrooke Christian Schools. Jim has served as board member of NASL, a national association for rehabilitation companies. He has served on boards of two privately held companies and was a member of TEC, an international organization for CEO's.

 

Harold W. Andrews, Jr. – Chief Financial Officer
Harold coordinated and negotiated the acquisition of CareMeridian in 1997 and has served on the board and as the Chief Financial Officer since that time. From 1996-1997, Harold was the Vice President of Finance of Regency Health Services responsible for the corporate accounting function and SEC reporting, along with coordination and execution of various aspects of acquisitions, debt and equity financings, strategic initiatives and the sale of Regency to Sun Healthcare Group, Inc. From 1986-1996, Harold worked for the public accounting firm Arthur Andersen & Co. As a Senior Manager, Harold had primary client service responsibilities for several publicly traded firms, including two in the healthcare industry. His primary areas of focus included public equity and debt offerings, mergers and acquisitions and real estate development. Harold is a CPA and a member of the AICPA, Financial Executives International and TEC International. Harold also serves on the Board of Laguna Woods Calvary Chapel Church and the Highway and Hedges Foundation. Harold earned his BBA in Accounting from Texas Tech University in 1986 with Honors.

 

Dan Larson – Chief Development Officer
Dan joined the company in 2003 with more than 15 years of experience in health care in both the public and private sectors. In the early 1990's, Dan partnered with Sherri Medina and Jim Ashby in growing South Coast Rehabilitation Services from a private, regional provider into a nationally recognized company of $100 million in annualized revenue. During his tenure, Dan served as EVP of Business Development, leading strategy, development and sales/marketing. Additionally, he oversaw PulsePoint Technologies, a rehab software division. Upon the sale South Coast to Regency Health Services (NYSE:RHS) in 1995, Dan joined Premier Care Orthopedics as their CEO where he founded Signature Health Services, a multi-specialty MSO. Dan started his healthcare career as a sales representative for Bristol Myers-Squibb. Dan is a graduate of the University of Houston where he earned a BS degree in Kinesiology and Biology. In addition, he played professional baseball for the Seattle Mariner Organization. Dan is a former member of TEC, an international organization for CEO's and has served on the CompManagement Advisory Committee a division of HealthLink, a Managed Care Organization. He presently serves on the board of Signature Health Foundation, and is a member of the Civic Entrepreneur Organization (CEO).
