Why CareMeridian – Corporate
Overview
CareMeridian was developed to serve the needs of the slower to
progess, slower to recover patient. We have come a long way since
we began in 1989, growing from one facility in Cowan Heights, Calif.,
to 11 facilities throughout California and Nevada.
Initially, we were able to care for six residents; today, we have
the capacity to care for hundreds of residents, and we are in the
process of developing additional centers. And we have progressed
from being a small company within a larger publicly traded corporation
to a privately held enterprise with a focused mission and the flexibility
to meet the ever-changing needs of our patients, families, payors
and case managers.
Recently, CareMeridian earned one of our industry’s highest
honors – a Gold Seal of Approval™ from the Joint Commission
on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations. CareMeridian earned
the national recognition by exceeding the Commission’s high
standards for health care quality and safety. Receiving the Commission’s
honor is just another step toward excellence.
